According to Variety, Leah Remini is officially joining RHOBH as a full-time Housewife, becoming the latest major addition to the Beverly Hills franchise. The actress and outspoken former Scientologist joins Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles alum Tracy Tutor, whose move to RHOBH was announced earlier this month.

The returning full-time cast consists of Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, Sutton Stracke, Bozoma Saint John and Rachel Zoe, while Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly will return as friends of the Housewives.

That gives Season 16 eight full-time Housewives:

Leah Remini Gets a Diamond

Remini’s casting is arguably the biggest surprise.

The 56-year-old actress became a household name starring opposite Kevin James on CBS’ The King of Queens, which ran for nine seasons. Her career later took a dramatically different turn when she became one of Hollywood’s most prominent critics of Scientology after leaving the organization.

Remini chronicled her experiences in her 2015 memoir, Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, before co-hosting the A&E docuseries Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath. The series earned two Primetime Emmy Awards during its run.

Now, she’s stepping into an entirely different kind of television battleground.

According to Variety, Remini is expected to begin filming in Los Angeles later this week.

Her addition is particularly interesting because Remini comes into the franchise with a fully established public identity. Unlike a traditional newcomer whom viewers are meeting for the first time, Remini has spent decades in Hollywood and has demonstrated a willingness to confront uncomfortable subjects publicly.

That could make her a formidable presence within the Beverly Hills ensemble.

Tracy Tutor Makes the Jump From MDLLA

Remini isn’t the only new diamond holder.

Tracy Tutor officially announced on Aug. 19 that she was joining Season 16 after years as one of the central personalities on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles. Tutor joined MDLLA in 2017 and became the show’s first female broker.

And she already has history within the Beverly Hills universe.

Tutor has connections to Kyle Richards’ estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, through the Los Angeles real estate industry and has previously had a public disagreement with Dorit Kemsley.

During a 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Tutor said she would “100 percent” be interested in joining RHOBH and suggested she could bring some heat to the franchise.

Three years later, she’s getting her chance.

The Veterans Aren’t Going Anywhere

Despite speculation surrounding several cast members, Variety reports that Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, Sutton Stracke and Bozoma Saint John are all returning alongside Rachel Zoe.

That means Kyle will remain the show’s sole remaining original Housewife as RHOBH enters its 16th season.

Rachel Zoe will also receive another season after making her Housewives debut in Season 15. Zoe’s casting marked her return to Bravo more than a decade after The Rachel Zoe Project, which aired from 2008 through 2013.

Meanwhile, Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly are once again expected to appear in friend roles rather than holding diamonds.

Amanda Frances Is Out

One Season 15 newcomer who won’t be returning is Amanda Frances.

Frances announced earlier this month that her time on RHOBH had come to an end after a single season. Variety reports that she was not asked back for Season 16.

Her departure creates room for a considerably different dynamic, with Bravo replacing one departing newcomer with two established reality and entertainment personalities in Tutor and Remini.

Season 16 Is Already Filming — And Ghana Is Part of the Story

The cameras are already rolling.

Several cast members recently traveled to Ghana for Bozoma Saint John’s wedding to Keely Watson on Aug. 21. Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Sutton Stracke, Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly were among the RHOBH women who made the trip, with cameras spotted filming the group surrounding the celebration.

The wedding gives Season 16 a major international event before Remini has even stepped in front of the cameras.

Variety reports that neither Remini nor Tutor attended the Ghana trip, with Remini expected to begin filming in Los Angeles later this week.

A Major Reset Without Starting Over

What makes the Season 16 lineup notable is that Bravo isn’t rebuilding RHOBH from scratch.

Instead, the network appears to be layering two strong personalities onto an established ensemble.

Kyle, Dorit, Erika and Sutton carry years of complicated relationships and unresolved history. Bozoma and Rachel represent the franchise’s newer generation. Kathy and Jennifer remain connected to the group’s social dynamics without holding full-time positions.

Then you add Tracy Tutor — someone already embedded in Beverly Hills’ luxury real estate world with preexisting relationships and friction — and Leah Remini, a veteran actress and television personality known for speaking her mind.

On paper, it’s a cast with plenty of potential.

And with filming already underway, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 16 is officially taking shape.

Long before his legal troubles, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star was known for his larger-than-life personality, lavish lifestyle and businesses that made him a fixture in Atlanta, Charlotte and Miami. His marriage to Cynthia Bailey also turned him into one of the most recognizable husbands in Housewives history.

But in his first major interview since leaving federal prison, Thomas offered a surprisingly unfiltered look at what happened when that lifestyle disappeared.

During a lengthy conversation with Carlos King on Reality With the King, Thomas opened up about the financial problems that ultimately led to his federal conviction, his 18 months behind bars, his relationship with his much-younger girlfriend Alex and what it was actually like to wake up every morning in prison.

Thomas reported to FCI Miami in August 2025 after being sentenced to 18 months for willfully failing to collect and pay over employment taxes. He was also ordered to pay more than $2.5 million in restitution to the IRS. He was released from federal custody in February 2026 and remains under supervision.

Peter Thomas’ First Days in Prison Were Nothing Like He Expected

Thomas described arriving at FCI Miami as a major reality check.He had his designer clothes with him when he walked through the doors, including a Tom Ford outfit. That didn’t last long.”They put me in the oversized,”explaining that his prison clothing was so large he had to physically hold his pants up. He also remembered being asked what he wanted prison officials to do with his clothes. “I had my Tom Ford on,” he said. “I had to take my Tom Ford off.”

“Donate it.”

It was one of the first moments when the reality of his situation truly sank in. And things didn’t exactly improve from there. Thomas said he was moved three times in four days after arriving at the federal prison camp. One of the units had a man whose medical issues made the living conditions particularly difficult for him, while another was essentially one enormous dormitory filled with dozens of inmates. “It was a huge, like, dormitory,” Thomas stated. There were no individual rooms or privacy. Instead, he described rows of beds with roughly 25 men on each side. For someone accustomed to running businesses and controlling his own environment, the sudden lack of privacy was a big wake-up call.

Peter Thomas Says He Had a Nervous Breakdown Three Days Into Prison

Perhaps the most revealing part of Thomas’ interview came when he discussed his mental state during his first week. Three days after arriving, he said he suffered a nervous breakdown. At approximately 3:30 in the morning, Thomas said he felt like he couldn’t breathe. He approached two officers and asked them to open the door. “If you just open the door for me and just let me go outside for two minutes and breathe, I’ll feel okay,” he remembered telling them. The officers eventually allowed him outside. “And I’m like, ‘Damn, I’m in prison,’” he thought. That realization appears to have stayed with him. Thomas said he struggled to sleep and became increasingly uncomfortable with being confined indoors. The constant noise, bathroom conditions and lack of privacy made the experience even harder. For months, he said, he couldn’t properly sleep or even walk normally after injuring his ankle. But there was one thing he looked forward to every day: going outside. “I get to look at the stars, you know, see the birds, see the planes, the trees, the wind blowing,” Thomas said. “Anything was peaceful to me.”

That detail might be one of the most striking revelations from the entire interview. For a man who spent years surrounded by restaurants, nightlife and luxury, something as simple as looking at the sky became a source of peace.

He Went From Running Businesses to Making $18 a Month

Then came perhaps the most humbling part of Thomas’ prison experience. He worked at a car wash. Thomas said he spent months washing cars and power-washing concrete while earning just $18 a month. He was describing what it felt like to suddenly have almost no control over his own life.

Prison also gave him a different perspective on the people around him. Thomas said many of the men inside had watched their businesses collapse, relationships disappear and finances unravel. Everyone, in some way, had lost something. And despite the stereotype that prison would automatically be filled with constant violence, Thomas’ stories were more complicated.

He said inmates did attempt to provoke him and described one incident involving a television and an NFL playoff game that almost became physical. His attitude was essentially that he wasn’t going to allow himself to be perceived as an easy target.

Peter Thomas Thought Alex Had Broken Up With Him Before He Went to Prison

If prison wasn’t already stressful enough, Thomas entered it believing he might have lost his relationship. At the beginning of the interview, Thomas introduced Alex, revealing that they have a 32-year age difference. “She’s much younger,” he said. Thomas admitted that before going to prison, he wasn’t convinced she would stick around. “I don’t think Alex gonna be here for me,” he said. The situation became even more emotional the night before he reported to prison. Thomas and Alex had a major argument, and he believed she had broken up with him.

Instead, Alex stayed.

By the end of the interview, she was sitting beside him, defending the man she knows away from reality television. “I feel like he has a heart of gold,” Alex said, acknowledging that Thomas has made mistakes but arguing that those mistakes don’t completely define him. And apparently, their relationship has become serious enough that children aren’t completely off the table. When asked whether they were preventing a pregnancy, Thomas admitted they weren’t. “Only God could make that call,” he said. Alex, who is in her 30s, is apparently leaving the possibility open.

Peter Thomas’ Prison Story Is a Very Different Side of the Former ‘RHOA’ Star

Whatever someone thinks about Thomas’ legal troubles, his interview with King provides something audiences rarely get from reality television: a glimpse at what happens when the cameras are gone. The man who once argued with Housewives over restaurants and relationships was suddenly worried about getting outside for two minutes just to breathe.The businessman who had spent years chasing the next big venture was earning $18 a month washing cars.

And the man who arrived at prison in Tom Ford walked out having left those clothes behind.

Thomas has now returned to the outside world, but he isn’t pretending that the experience didn’t change him. If anything, the interview suggests that the biggest story isn’t necessarily what Peter Thomas did to end up in prison. It’s what happened to Peter Thomas once he got there.

One of the heavier conversations to come out of Part 2 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion had very little to do with typical Housewives drama.

During a discussion about Pinky Cole’s financial troubles, the Slutty Vegan founder defended bankruptcy as a legal tool available to Americans facing difficult financial circumstances. Cole went even further, maintaining that if she ever found herself in need of bankruptcy protection again, she would use it.

Phaedra Parks strongly pushed back.

Her issue wasn’t simply that Cole had filed for bankruptcy. Parks challenged the idea of viewing the process so casually when other people may have money tied to a business — particularly investors who believed in and financially backed an entrepreneur.

The exchange raises an interesting question beyond RHOA: Is bankruptcy actually intended to be used as a financial tool?

The answer is more complicated than either side of the reunion argument suggests.

Pinky Isn’t Wrong About What Bankruptcy Is Designed to Do

Despite the stigma surrounding the word “bankruptcy,” federal law does not treat the process simply as a punishment for someone who failed financially.

The U.S. Courts describes bankruptcy as a federal legal process that can provide financially distressed debtors with relief. A bankruptcy discharge can eliminate personal liability for certain debts and prevent creditors from continuing collection efforts on debts that have been discharged.

In that sense, Cole’s description of bankruptcy as a “tool” isn’t far off.

Bankruptcy exists precisely because individuals and businesses sometimes reach financial situations where their existing obligations are no longer sustainable. Rather than leaving every creditor to independently fight over whatever assets remain, bankruptcy creates a court-supervised process for addressing those obligations.

And Chapter 11 — the chapter associated with Cole’s filing — is specifically known as reorganization bankruptcy.

According to the U.S. Courts, Chapter 11 generally allows a debtor to propose a reorganization plan, continue operating in appropriate circumstances and repay creditors over time. Creditors whose rights are affected can also have a voice in that process.

So bankruptcy isn’t a loophole someone discovered.

Congress created the system for people and businesses to use it.

But Phaedra’s Argument Matters, Too

Where Parks’ argument becomes important is in examining who absorbs the consequences when someone needs that fresh start.

Debt doesn’t simply vanish into thin air.

Bankruptcy creates a structured process for determining what happens to money that is owed. Depending on the case, creditors can receive less than they were originally owed, repayment terms can change and certain obligations can potentially be discharged.

That’s why bankruptcy law doesn’t only protect debtors. It establishes rights and procedures for creditors as well. In Chapter 11, affected creditors may even vote on a proposed reorganization plan before a court ultimately determines whether the plan meets the requirements for confirmation.

That gets to the heart of Parks’ argument.

There is a difference between saying “bankruptcy exists for people to use” and saying “bankruptcy has no consequences because it exists for people to use.”

Both the debtor and the people owed money are part of the equation.

Then There’s That $25 Million Slutty Vegan Investment

The reunion conversation becomes even more complicated when Slutty Vegan’s history with outside investment enters the picture.

In 2022, Cole announced that Slutty Vegan had raised a massive $25 million Series A funding round, valuing the company at approximately $100 million.

The round was led by Richelieu Dennis’ New Voices Fund and restaurateur Danny Meyer’s Enlightened Hospitality Investments. New Voices has specifically focused on helping Black women entrepreneurs grow their businesses.

At the time, the investment was intended to help Slutty Vegan rapidly expand its footprint and strengthen its executive leadership.

But there is one major distinction that can easily get lost in a reunion argument:

Investment money and debt are not automatically the same thing.

When an investor puts equity capital into a company, that investor is generally accepting business risk in exchange for ownership. That’s fundamentally different from a lender giving someone money that must be repaid according to a loan agreement.

So the existence of Slutty Vegan’s $25 million funding round does not, by itself, mean Cole personally owes those investors $25 million through her bankruptcy.

That distinction matters.

Can Someone Really File Bankruptcy Again?

Cole’s declaration that she would file again if necessary may have sounded shocking, but federal law does allow people to seek bankruptcy protection more than once.

There isn’t a blanket rule saying every American gets exactly one bankruptcy in their lifetime.

There are, however, restrictions on receiving subsequent discharges.

For example, the U.S. Courts says a debtor generally cannot receive another Chapter 7 discharge if they previously received a Chapter 7 or Chapter 11 discharge in a case filed within the preceding eight years. Different timelines apply to other combinations of bankruptcy chapters.

In other words:

You can potentially use the bankruptcy system more than once, but that doesn’t mean you can continuously file and erase debt whenever you choose.

Bankruptcy Also Doesn’t Erase Everything

Another misconception is that filing bankruptcy automatically wipes the financial slate completely clean.

It doesn’t.

The type of bankruptcy matters, as does the type of debt involved. Some obligations can survive bankruptcy altogether, while others can be restructured or discharged.

In an individual Chapter 11 case, a discharge also generally doesn’t arrive simply because someone filed paperwork. The U.S. Courts notes that, except in limited circumstances, an individual Chapter 11 debtor generally doesn’t receive a discharge until required payments under the confirmed plan have been completed.

Bankruptcy is therefore better understood as a legal process for resolving financial distress rather than an automatic escape hatch from financial responsibility.

So Who Won the Argument?

Legally, Cole’s central point has merit.

Bankruptcy is a tool.

The United States intentionally created a bankruptcy system that allows qualifying individuals and businesses facing serious financial difficulties to reorganize debts, obtain relief from certain obligations and potentially get a fresh financial start.

But Parks’ broader point shouldn’t be dismissed either.

That fresh start can come with consequences for other people.

Creditors can lose money. Lenders can recover less than expected. Businesses can change dramatically. And investors can lose value when the companies they’ve backed struggle — although investment losses and bankruptcy debts are not necessarily the same thing.

That’s what made the reunion exchange more interesting than the typical Housewives financial read.

The real question isn’t whether bankruptcy is a tool.

It clearly is.

The more complicated question is how we should view someone choosing to use that tool — especially when entrepreneurship, outside investment and other people’s money are involved.

And that’s a debate federal bankruptcy law can’t settle for us.

A 2026 NYC Pride Grand Marshal and RuPaul’s Drag Race alum says Pride organizers should prioritize LGBTQ+ community members with a “legacy of service.”

While celebrating the premiere of E!’s Cocktail Wars, guest judge and RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Peppermint weighed in on the controversy surrounding Kathy Hilton’s selection — and eventual departure — as WeHo Pride’s 2026 Grand Marshal Icon.

“WeHo Pride! Don’t you have Google? Come on,” Peppermint told The Reality Rundown.

WeHo Pride organizers faced backlash after announcing Hilton as the 2026 Grand Marshal Icon, with critics questioning the decision and pointing to past controversies involving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.

Among the concerns raised by critics were Hilton’s past ties to President Donald Trump and a years-old allegation involving a homophobic slur. Hilton and her husband, Rick Hilton, hosted a party celebrating the premiere of Trump’s The Apprentice in 2004, and she was photographed attending a Super Bowl party at his Mar-a-Lago estate in 2012. Critics also resurfaced a 2022 Real Housewives of Beverly Hills controversy in which Erika Jayne accused Hilton of using a homophobic slur during a cast trip to Aspen. Hilton has repeatedly denied making the comment, and the allegation was never independently substantiated. Hilton has not publicly endorsed Trump and has also pointed to her history of supporting LGBTQ+ organizations, including GLAAD, the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.

Following the backlash, the City of West Hollywood, WeHo Pride and Hilton announced in a joint statement that Hilton would no longer serve in the role and that the 2026 parade would move forward without a Grand Marshal Icon.

While questioning WeHo Pride’s decision, Peppermint also offered some grace, noting that people should have the opportunity to demonstrate growth and learn from their past.

“I do believe in people being able to turn over a new leaf and learn from their past. We all have a past.”

But when it comes to choosing a Pride Grand Marshal, Peppermint said she believes organizers should prioritize members of the LGBTQ+ community with a history of service.

“We really want people who are a part of the community first, who then have a legacy of service to the community.”

For Peppermint, being part of the LGBTQ+ community and putting in the work to support that community can hold more weight than having a less-than-perfect past.

“If you’re a lesbian or a trans person or a bisexual person or someone who’s queer in the community and you’ve been volunteering at that homeless shelter, I don’t care what your tweet said. I don’t care what your thing said in the past.”

But for those bringing more celebrity than service, Peppermint was less forgiving.

“But if you are somebody who’s just like a celebrity, I mean, come on, WeHo. Come on, Hollywood.”

For Peppermint, the title of Grand Marshal carries more weight than celebrity — something she experienced firsthand as one of NYC Pride’s 2026 Grand Marshals.

“Doing Pride was amazing. I’ve done Pride before in New York and in other places, and it’s always so much fun,” she said. “But being a Grand Marshal, I mean, it felt like I was able to bring a little bit of responsibility for the community.”

It’s a responsibility that felt particularly important to Peppermint amid what she described as a changing climate for the trans community and corporate support for Pride.

“We’re there to celebrate, but especially these days with the trans community being under attack the way it is, and a lot of companies and corporations pulling out their support from Pride because of the way the current administration is talking about us, I felt like a higher sense of responsibility than just feeling cute in the parade,” she said.

The milestone wasn’t all serious. Peppermint joked that her Grand Marshal title came with one perk that significantly upgraded her Pride experience this year.

“I have been in many a Prides where my heel was broken and I was hobbling down the street trying to get to the end of the thing,” she recalled. “And then this year they had a golf cart, like one of those little cars to drive all the Grand Marshals where they wanted.”

Wendy and Eddie Osefo are officially headed to trial.

The Real Housewives of Potomac couple is scheduled to face a joint jury trial from January 25 through January 29, 2027, in Carroll County Circuit Court in Maryland.

The dates were established during a May 20, 2026, status conference attended by Wendy, Eddie and their attorneys. No additional future hearings have been publicly confirmed, although pretrial motions and evidentiary disputes could still be scheduled before January.

What Wendy and Eddie Are Accused Of

The charges stem from a burglary the couple reported at their Finksburg, Maryland, home on April 7, 2024.

Wendy and Eddie told authorities they returned from a family vacation in Jamaica and discovered that luxury handbags, jewelry, clothing and other items had been stolen.

Prosecutors allege they later submitted claims to three insurance companies seeking compensation connected to approximately $450,000 in reported losses.

A grand jury indicted the couple in October 2025 on multiple counts of insurance fraud and conspiracy to commit insurance fraud. Both have maintained that they look forward to defending themselves in court.

The allegations have not been proven.

Why Investigators Became Suspicious

Authorities questioned whether the condition of the home matched the reported break-in.

Investigators said the bathroom window believed to be the point of entry opened onto a roof about nine feet above the deck. They reportedly found no ladder, disturbed furniture, dirt or debris suggesting someone had climbed through the window.

The home’s security system also allegedly recorded no interior movement during the period when the burglary was believed to have occurred.

The defense may argue that those observations do not prove a burglary never happened. Prosecutors will still have to establish criminal intent beyond a reasonable doubt.

The Returned Merchandise

A major part of the prosecution’s case involves merchandise that authorities claim had been returned to retailers before it was reported stolen.

Investigators allege that more than $20,000 in merchandise included in the insurance claims had already been refunded.

Prosecutors are expected to use receipts, banking records, retailer information and insurance documents to show when the items were purchased, returned and later listed as missing.

The defense may argue that the insurance inventory contained mistakes, duplicate descriptions or items submitted without Wendy and Eddie personally verifying every entry.
