Love Island USA Reportedly Removes Casa Amor Bombshell Alannah Keyser After Resurfaced Videos Spark Outrage
The Casa Amor bombshell's time in the villa has reportedly come to an abrupt end after resurfaced videos sparked widespread backlash and renewed scrutiny over the show's casting process.
Just days after making her Love Island USA debut during Casa Amor, bombshell Alannah Keyser has reportedly been removed from the villa following widespread backlash over resurfaced videos and social media activity in which she allegedly used the N-word.
According to reporting from The U.S. Sun, later echoed by Page Six, production has quietly removed Keyser from the series after the videos circulated online, with producers reportedly editing her out of as many pre-taped episodes as possible.
A production source told The U.S. Sun that because several episodes had already been filmed before the controversy surfaced, Keyser could not be erased entirely, but her screen time was significantly reduced. The source added that she will no longer appear on the series beginning with Thursday’s episode.
Peacock has not publicly confirmed the reports, and the show has yet to issue an official statement regarding her reported exit.
What Happened?
The controversy began shortly after Keyser was introduced during Casa Amor, one of the show’s biggest twists of the season.
Within hours of her debut, social media users resurfaced an old Snapchat video that appeared to show Keyser singing along to a song while saying the N-word. Fans also pointed to an older Instagram comment in which she allegedly used the same slur.
The clips quickly spread across X, Reddit, TikTok, and Instagram, with thousands of viewers demanding Peacock remove her from the villa.
At first, many viewers questioned why Keyser continued appearing in episodes after the controversy became public. According to production sources, those episodes had already been completed before the videos resurfaced, leaving editors to remove as much footage as possible before airing.
Another Casting Controversy for Love Island USA
If the reports are accurate, Keyser becomes the second contestant connected to a racial slur controversy during Season 8.
Earlier this season, contestant Vasana Montgomery was removed before entering the villa after a resurfaced video allegedly showed her using the same slur. Production previously said they were unaware of those privately owned videos until after casting had already been announced.
Season 7 also faced multiple controversies involving contestants who exited the show after offensive language from their past resurfaced. Those repeated incidents have led many viewers to question whether the show’s background checks and social media vetting process are thorough enough before contestants are cast.
Her Family Responds
Amid the growing backlash, Keyser’s father publicly defended his daughter, describing her as an “educated sweetheart” and insisting she is not racist. He also said the family’s friendships reflect diverse backgrounds and argued the online criticism does not represent who she is.
Why This Matters
Beyond one contestant’s reported removal, the situation once again raises larger questions about accountability in reality television.
For several consecutive seasons, Love Island USA has found itself reacting to contestants’ past social media activity only after casting announcements or episodes have already aired. That pattern has increasingly shifted the conversation away from the relationships inside the villa and toward the show’s casting process itself.
Whether Peacock ultimately addresses Keyser’s departure on-air remains to be seen. Previous contestant exits involving similar controversies have often been handled with little or no explanation to viewers.
For now, viewers will be watching closely to see whether the network issues a formal statement—and whether this latest controversy leads to changes in how future Islanders are vetted before entering the villa.
