Marcellus Wiley Faces Expanding Sexual Assault Allegations as Scrutiny Returns to RHOBH Alum Annemarie Wiley
Former ESPN and Fox Sports analyst has now been accused by multiple women in lawsuits spanning decades, while Bravo fans revisit controversy surrounding his wife’s time on RHOBH
Former NFL player and sports broadcaster Marcellus Wiley is facing a growing number of sexual assault allegations as multiple women have now accused the former ESPN and Fox Sports personality of rape, sexual assault, and grooming in lawsuits filed in New York.
The latest filings, first detailed in reports from Rolling Stone and other outlets, include accusations from four additional women, bringing renewed public attention to Wiley — and to his wife, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Annemarie Wiley.
According to court filings, the allegations span from the 1990s through 2009 and involve women who say Wiley used his status as a college football star, NFL player, and later television personality to gain access to them before allegedly assaulting them. Wiley has denied previous allegations against him, and the claims have not been proven in court.
One woman alleges Wiley began “grooming” her when she was 13 years old during his time with the Buffalo Bills before allegedly assaulting her after she turned 18. Another accuser, identified as a former ESPN production assistant, claims Wiley invited her to a hotel room in 2009 under the guise of a work meeting before allegedly assaulting her there.
Two additional women allege Wiley raped them in California during the late 1990s.
The new accusations come on top of earlier lawsuits filed in 2023 and 2025 by women who accused Wiley of raping them while he attended Columbia University in 1994. Those lawsuits allege the assaults took place inside dormitories on campus while Wiley was a standout football player for the university.
One of the women previously alleged that after reporting the incident to a university administrator, she was discouraged from pursuing a complaint because she would be seen as “the girl who destroyed a Black man’s NFL dream.”
Attorneys representing some of the accusers have argued in court filings that Columbia University enabled Wiley by failing to take meaningful action after earlier complaints. A hearing tied to the expanding litigation is reportedly scheduled for May 12.
Wiley has repeatedly denied allegations made against him. In prior public comments, he referred to earlier claims as “B.S.,” while attorneys representing him have disputed allegations outlined in the lawsuits.
The allegations are also reigniting discussion around Annemarie Wiley’s controversial tenure on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Annemarie joined the Bravo franchise during Season 13 but quickly became one of the most polarizing one-season Housewives in recent years.
During her time on the show, viewers heavily criticized both Annemarie and Marcellus over past public comments involving transgender athletes and LGBTQ+ issues. Online backlash intensified after fans resurfaced Marcellus Wiley’s prior commentary opposing transgender women competing in women’s sports, leading many viewers to accuse the couple of promoting transphobic rhetoric. Annemarie later pushed back against those accusations in interviews, calling the claims “hurtful,” “disgusting,” and “damaging.”
Her RHOBH run was also met with criticism over conflicts with cast members and audience reaction online, with many fans calling for Bravo not to bring her back following her debut season.
Now, with the lawsuits against Marcellus Wiley continuing to expand, Bravo viewers are once again revisiting the controversy surrounding the couple as legal proceedings move forward.
This remains an active legal matter. No criminal convictions have been announced in connection with the allegations, and the claims outlined in the lawsuits have not been proven in court.
