In the summer of 2025, Love Island USA introduced audiences to Olandria Carthen as one of many contestants looking for love and a shot at the grand prize. Less than a year later, she has emerged as one of the show’s most unexpected success stories. She may not have won the season, but what followed has proven far more valuable. Carthen has turned her time on reality television into a fast-rising modeling career, something only a small fraction of reality stars ever manage to achieve.

Since stepping away from the reality TV spotlight, Olandria has done what many contestants attempt, but few sustain. She has translated short-lived visibility into real industry momentum. In a space where relevance often fades quickly after the cameras stop rolling, she has built something with structure and direction. While many former reality stars rely on quick brand deals or social media attention, Olandria has taken a more strategic path. What she has created since leaving television looks far closer to a long-term career than a temporary moment.

Olandria’s Career Was Built With Intention

Part of what has made Olandria’s transition feel so calculated is the level of patience she showed behind the scenes. In interviews and online conversations, she has spoken openly about being extremely selective when it came to building her team after Love Island USA. Rather than rushing into management and brand deals immediately after leaving the show, Olandria took time evaluating who aligned with her long-term vision and the type of career she wanted to build. That process eventually led her to sign with Digital Brand Architects before later expanding her representation through United Talent Agency. At the same time, stylists Matthew and Reginald Reisman became key creative collaborators during her early transition into fashion, helping shape many of the looks that quickly began circulating online after the show. The careful team-building behind the scenes has become increasingly visible through the quality of her partnerships, editorial placements, and fashion opportunities. In an industry where many reality stars move quickly to capitalize on viral attention, Olandria’s slower and more intentional decision-making appears to have helped position her for longevity instead of short-term relevance.
